Job summary

POWDR’s Mt. Bachelor grooming team seeks a snow grooming operator to maintain Nordic ski and snowshoe trails in Bend, Oregon. You will operate snowmobile and grooming gear, set trails, monitor weather, and communicate status to managers and guests.

You will assist with Nordic Center events, ensure safety protocols, and support pass enforcement at trail access points. Prior snow grooming and Nordic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current and valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with snowmobiles and Nordic skiing preferred.
• Ability to communicate grooming status and updates to staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Groom and compact snow using snowmobile drag and track setting equipment.
• Set and maintain snowshoe trails; ensure safe snow surfaces.
• Monitor weather and advise grooming status to Nordic Manager.
• Inspect snowmobile daily; report service needs and perform safety checks.
• Assist with trail preparation for Nordic Center races and events.
• Perform pass enforcement duties at gates and trail access points.
