SACADA seeks a motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team in San Antonio. You will maintain the general ledger, assist with grant reporting, and support month-end closes with accuracy and confidentiality.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in accounting and at least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in non-profits, with strong Excel and QuickBooks for Non-Profits skills. You’ll work in a mission-driven setting serving people and families in need.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience, preferably in non-profits.
• Familiar with non-profit accounting software and QuickBooks for non-profits.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to accurately record and report figures and maintain confidentiality.

Aufgaben

• Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts per GAAP and grant requirements.
• Execute month-end close and report generation.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with financial statements and grant reporting.
• Support state and federal compliance reporting.
• Assist with monthly billing and audits.
• Contribute to annual audit information gathering.
• Support agency special events and ad hoc reporting.
