San Antonio Zoo seeks a Senior Accountant to support financial health and mission. You will maintain accurate records, assist with timely reporting, and ensure GAAP compliance across the general ledger. The role involves reconciliations, journal entries, fixed asset activity, and collaboration with Finance and other Zoo teams.

You will help strengthen processes, participate in audits, and drive improvements in internal controls and reporting accuracy while supporting cross-department initiatives.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and post accurate journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and other general ledger transactions.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet, account reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including financial statements and schedules.
