Job summary

Abound Food Care is seeking a Director of Operations in California to lead daily operations, drive efficiency, and ensure alignment with strategic goals. You will report to the CEO and guide budgeting, KPIs, and cross‑functional teams to maximize community impact.

Key responsibilities include developing SOPs, presenting to the Board, and overseeing multiple departments with a focus on sustainability and program quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of leadership experience in operations management.
• Experience managing budgets, strategic initiatives, and organizational change.
• Background in nonprofit or public-sector environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for daily operations aligned with mission and goals.
• Develop and evaluate operational goals, initiatives, and performance measures.
• Establish and continuously improve SOPs and policies.
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with CEO and Board on operational planning and reporting.
• Administer budgets and coordinate with Finance on forecasts and grants.
• Supervise operations staff and support workforce development.
• Partner with other departments to ensure smooth program execution.
