Job summary

Mirror Inc. is seeking a Finance Specialist to manage day-to-day accounting, including AR, AP, grants, and Medicaid billing under the CFOO. The role ensures internal controls, quarterly reconciliations, and preparation for annual audits.

You will supervise staff, coordinate monthly closes, and support the CFO with financial reporting and compliance across federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with general ledger and basic accounting in a corporate setting.
• Experience in health care and grant reporting is preferred.
• Two years of supervisory experience required.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable process: accuracy, coding, approvals.
• Record monthly journal entries and corrections.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and discuss with CFO.
• Reconcile investment accounts and grants with funding entities.
• Ensure balance sheet accuracy and GAAP compliance for non-profit.
• Assist with annual audit and regulatory filings.
• Provide timely financial reports to managers and board.
• Support program managers with grant narratives as needed.
• Maintain internal controls and compliance with laws.
• Collaborate with leadership and staff to improve processes.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned.
