Job summary

The Peter Paul Development Center is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to oversee daily accounting, grant tracking, and timely reporting. You will manage AP/AR, payroll, and budgeting while upholding nonprofit GAAP and IRS filings.

You will work closely with the Director of Finance and Administration to ensure accurate financial information for programs, donors, and partners, fostering strong internal controls and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, HR, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting/finance; HR experience preferred.
• Experience in a small nonprofit environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities including AP/AR and reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger and accurate financial records.
• Track revenue and expenses by program, grant, and funding source.
• Support grant management with proper allocation and reporting of restricted funds.
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with employment laws.
• Assist with developing and managing the annual budget.
• Support IRS Form 990 filings and nonprofit GAAP basics.
• Coordinate benefits administration and personnel records.
