Job summary

Your Part-Time Controller, LLC is a nationally recognized accounting firm specializing in outsourced accounting for nonprofits. We seek a dedicated, personable Controller to guide clients and deliver transformative accounting services, working with multiple clients both remotely and on-site.

The role involves close collaboration with Boards, committees, and client staff. Hybrid work environment, 35-hour full-time baseline week, and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5–7+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with multiple GL packages, especially QuickBooks, and electronic bill pay systems.
• Non-profit accounting, public accounting, and/or consulting experience is a plus.
• CPA certification is a plus.
• Bilingual-English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transform nonprofit client financial departments to help them meet their mission!
• Financial reporting for management and Board decision making and presentations
• Recommending and implementing improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls, and compliance policies and procedures, supporting client strategy and best practices
• Transactional activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition and billing), and payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and maintaining workpapers
• Analysis and data visualization, budgeting and forecasting
• Grant management, allocations, and funder reporting
• Prepare for and manage annual audit
• Client and staff training opportunities
