Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Review invoices for accuracy, proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.
• Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure timely payment processing.
• Match invoices against purchase orders, receipts, and other supporting documents.
• Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies or outstanding balances.
• Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and electronic fund transfers.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice inquiries, payment status, and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and organized financial documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including accounts payable reconciliations and accruals.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and nonprofit financial procedures.
• Assist with audits by providing invoice records, payment documentation, and supporting schedules.
• Identify opportunities to improve invoice processing efficiency and accuracy.
