Job summary

South-Central-La-Regional-Center is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to manage day-to-day accounts payable and receivable functions. The role focuses on processing high volumes of vendor invoices, preparing payments, and maintaining precise financial records in a nonprofit setting.

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of AP/AR experience, strong Excel skills, and a solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable in a high-volume environment.
• Nonprofit/government-funded or social services experience is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including data management and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices with proper coding and approvals.
• Match invoices with POs and receiving records where applicable.
• Prepare vendor payments (checks, ACH) per schedule.
• Maintain vendor records (payment info, W-9s) and reconcile statements.
• Assist with month-end/year-end closing and audit support.
