Job summary

Calibre is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to support daily finance operations for nonprofit clients in a professional office setting in Chicago. You will manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, and cash flow activities, contributing to accurate monthly closings and tax form preparation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration and proficiency with MS Office; QuickBooks experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar bookkeeping software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash receipts.
• Support payroll processing and payroll service provider interactions.
• Assist with monthly closings and tax form preparation.
• Maintain vendor master files and chart of accounts.
• Prepare reports and respond to auditor inquiries as needed.
