Job summary

Calibre is seeking an experienced staff accountant to support daily finance operations for client accounts. The role covers accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, monthly closings, and tax form preparation, with emphasis on accuracy and internal control adherence.

Responsibilities include reconciling donor/member databases to the general ledger, managing cash flow, and preparing year-end tax forms. 1+ year of nonprofit accounting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably in nonprofit sector.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts receivable and cash receipts with accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage accounts payable and cash flow to optimize resources.
• Prepare monthly closings and reconcile GL accounts.
• Assist with payroll processing and tax form preparation.
• Prepare IRS 1099/1096 forms and related filings.
