Calibre CPA Group in Chicago is seeking a CAS Experienced Staff to support daily finance department activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, and monthly closing. You will assist in preparing tax forms, maintaining records, and responding to auditor inquiries while ensuring internal controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is expected.
  • 1+ years of accounting experience is preferred, ideally in nonprofit environments.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts receivable: issue invoices, record cash receipts, and reconcile donor/member data with the general ledger.
  • Payroll processing: review timesheets and payroll change reports, and resolve payment issues with employees.
  • Accounts payable and cash flow: review invoices, assist with cash management, and ensure timely bill payments.
  • Monthly closing: reconcile ledgers, ensure month-end invoices are processed by the 15th of the following month.
  • Prepare IRS 1099/1096 forms and maintain filing systems for checks and tax filings.
  • Respond to auditor inquiries and support client reporting and management communications.
  • Team leadership: guide budgets, participate in special projects, and align work with firm goals.
