Job summary

HOPE International is seeking a Senior Professional in Lancaster, PA, to lead the Accounting Operations team and ensure accurate financial records for HOPE’s U.S.-based entities. The role focuses on internal controls, process improvement, and staff development within a nonprofit context.

The Senior Manager will oversee month-end/year-end close, treasury activities, and support audits while partnering with departments to implement practical, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Personal confession of Christian faith and commitment to HOPE International.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial close, journal entries, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Experience leading and developing a team, including coaching staff and accountability.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
• Five or more years of accounting experience, including financial close and team leadership (preferred).
• Nonprofit or multi-entity accounting experience (preferred).
• Experience with ERP or donor-management platforms (preferred). NetSuite, Ramp, ADP, Salesforce (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Promote and contribute to HOPE International’s mission and vision.
• Lead and manage the accounting operations staff and donor care.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close for U.S.-based entities.
• Maintain internal controls and coordinate audits and compliance.
• Oversee accounts payable, payroll, and expense accounting processes.
• Provide operational leadership for NetSuite, Ramp, ADP, and related platforms.
• Support process improvements and cross-department collaboration.
