Job summary

OneHope is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting for a nonprofit organization in Pompano Beach, FL. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, financial reporting, and budgeting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with leadership and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting activities of the organization.
• Maintain GAAP-compliant financial records for nonprofit.
• Manage general ledger; review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and disbursements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support internal controls and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with leadership and staff on financial matters.
• Ensure confidential handling of donor-restricted funds.
