Job summary

Dollar General in Brunswick, OH seeks a Manager on Duty to oversee the Non-Food Department and the whole store as needed. You will ensure efficient inventory management, attractive merchandise presentation, and high-quality customer service while maintaining safety and protecting company assets.

Responsibilities include cash control, refunds/overrides, training, scheduling, and guidance to associates to meet store standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications in food handling.
• Strong communication skills and customer service focus.
• Experience leading teams or training associates.

Responsibilities

• Authorize refunds and overrides; manage register and bank deposits.
• Maintain store financial integrity with strict cash accountability and security practices.
• Manage store in Store Manager's and Assistant Manager's absence.
• Assist in training employees and in stocking/non-food training.
• Oversee non-food department operations, merchandising, and presentations.
• Ensure adequate scheduling coverage and daily workflow adherence.
• Support inventory control, markdowns, and signage accuracy.
• Maintain safe, clean, and secure store environment.
