Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Manager on Duty to oversee the Food Department and total store operations when required. You will ensure efficient inventory management, appealing merchandising, and high-quality customer service while maintaining safety and asset protection.

Responsibilities include supervising cash handling, refunds, and store security, training staff, organizing receiving and stocking, and ensuring compliance with food handling regulations. This is a full-time role in Brunswick, OH.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math calculations and percentages.
• Knowledge of cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to operate a cash register and handle transactions.
• Familiarity with safety, security policies and procedures.
• Strong communication, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Grocery Food Department and store when Manager on Duty is required.
• Authorize refunds and overrides; manage cash and deposits.
• Supervise staff and assist in training and scheduling.
• Ensure accurate merchandising, rotation of food, and stock presentation.
• Maintain inventory control, reduce damages and out-of-stocks.
• Ensure compliance with food handling regulations and SOPs.
