Job summary

Jack Frost and Big Boulder Ski Resort is hiring Winter Seasonal Instructors for 2026/2027. Instructors will teach group and private lessons to guests of all ages, with a focus on children, delivering exceptional guest service in a safe, fun learning environment.

Starting wage is $20.00/hour, with opportunities to earn more through teaching incentives. Part-time shifts are available; full-time hours are not guaranteed.

Job Specifications

Job Requirements

• Must be comfortable and competent skiing on groomed blue terrain
• Must be willing to work with guests of all ages and have a strong level of comfort with children aged 3 and older
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English
• Must be willing to work weekends/holidays and meet minimum scheduling requirements.
• Must be comfortable being in ski boots for extended period of time
• Placement as an instructor is contingent upon successfully completing training and meeting the minimum skill, guest service, and safety standards.

As a Non-Certified Ski Instructor, you have the ability to be a flexible employee who works across multiple departments and in various roles to support the one-resort mentality which could include:

• Lift Experience
• Mountain Activities
• Food and Beverage Support
• Base Area Operations
• Retail Rental Operations

Additional requirements for hires under age 18

Submission of a Parental Consent Form upon hire, along with other applicable documents required by state law; such as a work permit, physician's note, and/or proof of birthdate

The expected pay range is$20.00/hr.. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
