Job summary

Jack Frost and Big Boulder Ski Resort is seeking a Winter Seasonal ski instructor for the 2026/2027 season. You will teach group and private lessons to guests of all ages, with an emphasis on children, delivering world-class guest service in a safe, fun learning environment.

Starting wage is $20.00 per hour; positions are part-time with variable hours. Training is provided, and eligibility includes completion of required training and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable and competent skiing on groomed blue terrain.
• Must be willing to work with guests of all ages and have a strong level of comfort with children aged 3 and older.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Must be willing to work weekends/holidays and meet minimum scheduling requirements.
• Must be comfortable being in ski boots for extended period of time.

Job Specifications:

• Starting Wage: $ 20.00/hr.
  • Pay range reflects minimum base wages; instructors may have opportunities to earn more with additional teaching incentives
• Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027
• Shift Type: Part Time hours available . For Full-Time Instructors, a 40-hour workweek is not guaranteed. Scheduled hours will vary depending on business volume.

Job Requirements:

• Must be comfortable and competent skiing on groomed blue terrain
• Must be willing to work with guests of all ages and have a strong level of comfort with children aged 3 and older
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English
• Must be willing to work weekends/holidays and meet minimum scheduling requirements.
• Must be comfortable being in ski boots for extended period of time
• Placement as an instructor is contingent upon successfully completing training and meeting the minimum skill, guest service, and safety standards.

As a Non-Certified Ski Instructor, you have the ability to be a flexible employee who works across multiple departments and in various roles to support the one-resort mentality which could include:

• Lift Experience
• Mountain Activities
• Food and Beverage Support
• Base Area Operations
• Retail Rental Operations

Additional requirements for hires under age 18:
Submission of a Parental Consent Form upon hire, along with other applicable documents required by state law; such as a work permit, physician's note, and/or proof of birthdate

The expected pay range is$ 20.00/hr.. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
