Job summary

Vail Resorts in Pennsylvania is hiring winter seasonal instructors to teach group and private lessons, working with guests of all ages—especially children—and delivering world-class guest service.

Starting wage is $20.00/hr with opportunities to earn more through teaching incentives. Positions are Winter Seasonal 2026/2027, part-time with variable hours; 16+ years old; housing is not provided.

Qualifications

• Teach group and private lessons to guests of all ages, with emphasis on children.

• Be comfortable skiing on blue terrain and able to manage multiple departments when needed.

Job Requirements

Must be comfortable and competent skiing on groomed blue terrain

Must be willing to work with guests of all ages and have a strong level of comfort with children aged 3 and older

Must be able to communicate fluently in English

Must be willing to work weekends/holidays and meet minimum scheduling requirements.

Must be comfortable being in ski boots for extendedperiod of time

Placement as an instructor is contingent upon successfully completing training and meeting the minimum skill, guest service, and safety standards.

As a Non-Certified Ski Instructor, youhave the ability tobe a flexible employee who works across multiple departments and in various roles to support the one-resort mentality which could include:

Additional requirements for hires under age 18

Submission of a Parental Consent Form upon hire, along with other applicable documents required by state law; such as a work permit, physician's note, and/or proof of birthdate

The expected pay range is$20.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
