Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring Ski School Support Staff for Winter Seasonal 2026/2027. This role supports all ski/snowboard school operations, including guest check-in, rental operations, and lesson area lift operations, with high guest interaction and a focus on safety.

Housing is available and starting wages range from $20.00 to $31.00 per hour. Applicants should have a High School diploma (or equivalent), be able to work weekends/holidays, and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced, service-based environment.
• Fluent in English.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication with guests and employees.
• Strong computer skills, typing, and data entry preferred.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Daily set up and tear down of indoor facilities, maintaining cleanliness and order.
• Assist children during check-in and throughout the day.
• Ensure health code compliance in facilities and common areas.
• Maintain a clean, high-traffic facility.
• Engage children in safe, age-appropriate games and activities.
• Follow helmet policy and wear appropriate gear during lessons and activities.
• Promote health and safety standards within the department.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager.

Ski School Support Staff employees work in a fun high paced indoor/outdoor environment supporting all functions of ski/snowboard school operations outside of instruction. The role has high guest interaction supporting children's programming, rental operations, guest check-in/out, lesson scanning, and lesson area lift operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Daily set up and tear down of indoor facilities, including work areas, with an emphasis on attention to detail to present an area that is clean, orderly, welcoming, and conducive to operating efficiently.
• Helping young children within the check in process and through out the day.
• Understanding of, and compliance with, stated policies/procedures relevant to health code compliance for facility cleanliness, including common areas, toys, equipment, etc.
• Ability to keep and maintain a clean and orderly facility that accommodates daily high-volume guest flow.
• Working with small children to facilitate appropriate games and activities in both indoor and outdoor settings.
• Adhere to strict corporate policy regarding wearing a snow sports specific helmet while skiing/riding, or assisting lessons, in uniform.
• Understand, lead, and model safety standards within the department for yourself and others; contribute to our culture of Health and Safety to meet Zero Workman's Comp safety goal.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in a fast-paced, service-based environment
• Fluent in all aspects of English language
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Strong communication skills with a wide variety of guests and employees
• Strong computer skills, typing, and data entry preferred
• Early childhood care experience preferred
• Ski or snowboarding experience to assist lessons as necessary preferred
• Successfully pass the background check required

The expected pay range is$20.00/hr - $31.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
