DJ's Landscape Management is seeking a Seasonal Salt Truck Driver (Non-CDL) to spread salt on commercial lots in Romulus, MI. This role emphasizes reliability, safety, and timely responses during winter conditions.

Open to applicants with a chauffeur's license; MDOT credentials are supported by the company. Position offers weekly pay and part-time seasonal scheduling, with potential for full-time based on performance.

Qualifications

• Operate non-CDL salt trucks to de-ice commercial lots.
• Monitor weather and parking conditions for timely response.
• Be available for on-call nights, days, holidays and weekends.
• Must be 18+ with reliable transportation to work.
• Valid Chauffeur's License (company will assist) and MDOT license.

• Competitive base pay: $26 - $30 per hour, depending on experience and license
• Chauffeurs License and valid MDOT required (company will assist in acquiring both)

Duration

• Position is available for the winter season, typically from November 15 to April 15, with opportunities for full-time positions based on performance and business needs.

Requirements

• Drive Non CDL salt trucks to distribute salt and de-icing materials on commercial parking lots
• Monitor weather conditions and parking lot surfaces to ensure timely response
• Play a vital role in keeping our community safe during winter
• Work safely to complete snow removal to customer specifications and quality standards
• Submit details of hours, activities and materials in an accurate and timely manner
• Complete all training, onboarding, snow removal safety, and route learning
• Available for on-call work including nights, days, holidays, and weekend work as needed
• Must have access to reliable transportation to and from work and be able to work in extreme weather conditions including subfreezing temperatures and heavy precipitation
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Valid Chauffeurs License (company will assist in acquiring one)
• Smart Phone
• Valid MDOT (company will assist in acquiring one)
