Job summary

DJ's Landscape Management is looking for on-call Seasonal Snow Salt Truck Drivers to keep roads safe during the winter season. You will operate salt trucks, respond to on-call shifts, and work from November through April with potential conversion to full-time based on performance and needs.

Ideal candidates hold CDL A or CDL B with Air Brakes, are dependable, punctual, and capable of working in extreme winter conditions. Training is provided and compensation is competitive with licensing.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must hold valid CDL A or CDL B with Air Brakes.
• Must complete training, onboarding, snow removal safety and route learning.
• Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions and subfreezing temperatures.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work and be available for on-call nights, days, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate snow salt truck to apply salt on roads per instructions.
• Work to customer specifications and quality standards for snow removal.
• Submit hours, activities and materials accurately and timely.

Team Member Benefits

• Competitive base pay: $28 - $30 per hour, depending on experience and license

Duration

• Position is available for the winter season, typically from November 15 to April 15, with opportunities for full-time positions based on performance and business needs.

Requirements

• Complete all training, onboarding, snow removal safety, and route learning
• Work safely to complete snow removal to customer specifications and quality standards
• Positive attitude and willingness to work in challenging weather conditions.
• Submit details of hours, activities and materials in an accurate and timely manner
• Must have access to reliable transportation to and from work and be able to work in extreme weather conditions including subfreezing temperatures and heavy precipitation
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Valid CDL A License or CDL B w/ Air Brakes with no restrictions required
• Valid MDOT (company will assist in acquiring one)
• Available for on-call work including nights, days, holidays, and weekend work as needed
