Job summary

DJ's Landscape Management is seeking on-call Seasonal Snow Salt Truck Drivers to help keep roads safe from November through April. Competitive pay and part-time, flexible scheduling are available, with opportunities for full-time roles based on performance.

Qualifications include a valid CDL A or CDL B with Air Brakes (MDOT assistance provided), plus a strong emphasis on safety, reliability and teamwork in challenging winter conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid CDL A or CDL B with Air Brakes; MDOT may be provided/assisted by employer.
• Willingness to work in extreme winter weather and schedule variability.

Responsibilities

• Perform snow removal and salting to meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Submit hours, activities and materials accurately and timely.
• Work on-call including nights, days, holidays and weekends as required.

Team Member Benefits

• Competitive base pay: $26 - $30 per hour, depending on experience and license

Duration

• Position is available for the winter season, typically from November 15 to April 15, with opportunities for full-time positions based on performance and business needs.

Requirements

• Complete all training, onboarding, snow removal safety, and route learning
• Work safely to complete snow removal to customer specifications and quality standards
• Positive attitude and willingness to work in challenging weather conditions.
• Submit details of hours, activities and materials in an accurate and timely manner
• Must have access to reliable transportation to and from work and be able to work in extreme weather conditions including subfreezing temperatures and heavy precipitation
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Valid CDL A License or CDL B w/ Air Brakes with no restrictions required
• Valid MDOT (company will assist in acquiring one)
• Available for on-call work including nights, days, holidays, and weekend work as needed
