Job summary

Waste Pro USA in Clarksville, TN is seeking a dedicated refuse collection driver to operate on pre-assigned routes, collecting garbage, yard waste, and recycling. You will supervise helpers on your route, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensure vehicles and loads comply with safety and DOT requirements.

The role requires reliable, customer-focused service, ability to lift and move heavy bins, and strict adherence to schedules and regulations.

Qualifications

Must be able to speak and read English well enough to communicate with customers, co-workers, dispatch and supervisors, and to make legible entries on paperwork.
Understand and comply with Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles.
Physically able to push/pull 50 pounds multiple times daily and operate equipment as required.
Maintain written records and service responses.

Responsibilities

Safely drives truck on pre-established route in accordance with driving principles and collects garbage on a designated route.
Oversees helpers on the route and ensures proper disposal of waste at landfill or transfer stations.
Performs daily pre- and post-trip inspections and completes safety documentation.
Maintains truck cleanliness and checks under hood, fluids, and tires regularly.
Tags improper containers and ensures proper transfer of recyclables.
Complies with DOT and state requirements for commercial vehicle operators.
Performs duties in emergencies as required.
Keeps accurate reports and documents as mandated by company and regulations.
