Job summary

Waste Pro, USA is seeking a route driver to operate a variety of refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned routes, pick up garbage, yard waste, and recyclables, and supervise helpers on the route. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and ensure safety and compliance with DOT guidelines.

The role requires a valid CDL (Class A or B), at least 2 years of waste industry driving experience, and the ability to communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL (Class A or B) for the state of employment.
• Requires 2 years of waste industry driving experience in the past 7 years.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Understand refuse collection policies and DOT/state requirements for operators of commercial vehicles.
• Must be able to speak and read English adequately.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives truck on established routes in accordance with driving principles within prescribed times.
• Collects and dumps garbage and refuse; unloads at landfill or transfer station.
• Operates front-end, side, rear-end, or roll-off refuse trucks and related equipment.
• Provides courteous, expeditious customer service to the public and customers.
• Performs daily pre- and post-trip inspections and safety checks.
• Maintains clean truck; cleans exterior weekly and inspects under hood and tires.
• Performs manual duties to clean up scattered refuse and move large bins.
• Prepares, maintains, and submits reports as required.
• Assists other routes or community events as needed.
• Responsible for all persons on vehicle during the route.
• Complies with DOT/state requirements for commercial motor vehicle operators.
• May be required to work during emergencies.
