Job summary

Waste Pro seeks a Grapple Driver to operate refuse collection vehicles on assigned routes, supervise helpers, and ensure timely pickups of garbage, yard waste, and recycling. The role requires a Class A/B CDL and a clean driving record, with DOT compliance and daily truck inspections.

The driver will perform pre/post trip checks, maintain accurate logs, and ensure safety during operations in varied weather. English literacy and reliability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state in which the position works.
• At least 1 year of previous experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL within the past 7 years.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Understand refuse collection policies and DOT/state requirements for operators of CMVs.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
• Maintain written records and service responses.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives on pre-established routes following company principles and schedules.
• Collects and dumps garbage and recyclables on designated routes.
• Oversees helpers on the route and ensures safety and efficiency.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections and DVIR daily.
• Maintains truck cleanliness and performs routine maintenance checks.
• Completes required reports and documents.
• Complies with DOT and state regulations for CMV operators.
• May work during emergency situations.
