Job summary

Waste Pro USA seeks a Grapple Driver to operate refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned routes for garbage, yard waste, or recycling. Supervises helpers on the route and performs routine truck checks.

The role requires a Class A or B CDL, a clean driving record, and at least 21 years of age with the ability to comply with DOT rules. You will provide courteous service, maintain the vehicle, and complete required reports and safety inspections.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state where the position works.
• Clean driving record.
• At least 1 year of previous CDL vehicle operation experience in the last 7 years.
• Waste Industry experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Understand refuse collection policies and DOT/state requirements.
• Able to communicate in English with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives truck on pre-established route within time and route guidelines.
• Provides courteous and expeditious customer service on refuse operations.
• Ensures garbage/recyclables are picked up and transferred properly; may use back door.
• Performs daily pre- and post-trip inspections and safety checks.
• Maintains a clean truck and washes exterior weekly; inspects under hood and tires.
• Performs manual duties cleaning up scattered refuse and handles large bins.
• Prepares and submits reports and documents as required.
• Responsible for everyone on the vehicle during the route.
• Complies with DOT and state requirements for commercial vehicles.
• May be required to work during emergencies.
