Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Tier 2 CAS Network Operations Center (NOC) specialist to contribute to incident management and service restore efforts in a MID shift from 11:00pm to 7:30am. The role requires diagnosing system and network issues, monitoring ARINC Global Network components, and coordinating with telecom providers to restore services.

Qualifications

• Network+ certification required.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols and interconnections.
• Understanding of ITIL/ITSM concepts and practices.
• Experience with HSRP/BGP routing protocols.
• AA/AS degree or 2-year post high school training with 1–2 years of relevant experience or HS Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network management system and engage telecom providers to drive restoral efforts.
• Track incident details and keep information updated in the incident management tool with accurate information.
• Diagnose failures of systems and networks and resolve basic technical queries.
• Oversee high availability IP networks, messaging systems, and Air to Ground data communications equipment.
• Identify resolutions of routine technical queries from clients and CAS Business Units.
• Take guidance from teammates or management to resolve less routine issues.
• Work with Senior Team Members to resolve moderate to complex issues; may lead less complex cases.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance; escalate as needed.
• Understand deployment, configuration, and maintenance routines; develop tools to improve efficiency.
• Participate in network solutions design and configurations.
