Job summary

Fatbeam Fiber, Idaho-based provider of fiber-based internet solutions, seeks a NOC Tier 1 Technician to monitor and maintain our network infrastructure with uptime and performance in mind. You will be the first line of defense for customer requests, using standard procedures to troubleshoot and coordinate with field teams for incident resolution.

The role requires 1–2 years of IT support experience, an associate’s degree or higher, and CCNA or Network+ certifications.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, IP Subnetting).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Network Systems continuously for unusual activities or failures.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems to minimize downtime.
• Perform regular checks and preventative maintenance on network equipment.
• Provide technical support to other teams or clients as required.
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of network status, incidents, and resolutions.
• Communicate effectively with network engineers and IT professionals to ensure efficient operation.
• Provide reports on network operation status, project progress, and risk assessments.
