Job summary

Kforce Inc. is seeking a NOC Technician in Orlando, FL to support and optimize network operations for its client. The role focuses on maintaining infrastructure, diagnosing issues, and ensuring system availability and performance.

You'll collaborate with IT teams, provide end-user support, and contribute to security, data backup, and documentation while growing your technical skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years as a NOC technician or similar.
• Specialization in Network Engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of network technologies, connectivity, protocols, and security.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• On-call availability outside business hours.
• Cisco, CompTIA, or Microsoft networking certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT team on development and maintenance of network infrastructure.
• Provide technical end-user support and troubleshoot network issues.
• Maintain internet domains and improve intranet performance.
• Run diagnostics on inter-device communications (routers, modems, servers).
• Install, configure, and update networking accessories for end-users.
• Optimize server capacity and performance to handle network traffic.
• Develop data security, backup, archiving, and retrieval procedures.
• Train junior IT staff and provide remote support to on-site field technicians.
• Document network processes, repairs, and cabling layouts.
• Stay informed on advancements in network infrastructure and technologies.
