Job summary

Leidos is seeking a NOC Technician for the TRANSPORT / IP (TRIP) NOC at Hill AFB, UT to support DISA-provided GIG/DISN services in a 24/7 Global Operations Center. You will triage incidents, monitor events, and coordinate fault resolutions to maintain network availability.

Responsibilities include incident management in ServiceNow, CMDB updates, and providing situational awareness to leadership. DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification and an active Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification (e.g., Security+ CE) required by start date.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 operational environment.
• Experience in alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN/WAN maintenance or performance management.
• Experience with multiple network devices (routers, switches, crypto devices, DSN/DRSN, etc.).
• Moderate understanding of network topologies (transport and IP).

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and manage incident tickets using ServiceNow/ITSM; triage the ticket queue and guide tickets of concern.
• Monitor network events 24/7 using various tools; analyze alarms, correlate faults, identify impacts, and coordinate fault corrections.
• Notify relevant contacts about incidents; provide timely situational awareness to leadership and impacted communities.
• Support fault isolation and troubleshooting; test and diagnose issues with network elements; coordinate with service providers.
• Restore networks and services to full operation; ensure SLAs; document changes in the CMDB; provide 24/7/365 support for outages.
• Assist in training and monitoring Network controllers; evaluate SOPs and tools; provide technical guidance on complex issues.
• Demonstrate proficiency in DISN functions (routers, switches, crypto devices, DSN/DRSN, etc.) and support multi-NOC operations.
