Job summary

MSR Technology Group in Annapolis, MD is seeking an experienced NOC Analyst for a long-term contract with potential Contract-to-Hire. This 100% onsite role requires evening/mid shift and a 24x7x365 schedule with weekends/holidays as needed.

You will monitor IP networks, troubleshoot incidents, coordinate with telecom providers for service restoration, and work with incident tools while maintaining clear documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: HS Diploma or GED with relevant IT experience or an Associate degree with related experience.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with incident management and ITIL/ITSM processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot IP networks, systems, routers, switches, firewalls, and circuits.
• Monitor network performance and coordinate with telecom providers for service restoration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2 network/system incidents.
• Maintain incident documentation using ITIL/ITSM practices.
• Troubleshoot Cisco devices, TCP/IP, HSRP and BGP.
• Support high-availability network and data communication environments.
• Escalate complex issues and collaborate with senior NOC engineers.
• Provide strong customer support while managing multiple incidents and priorities.

Location: Annapolis, MD – 100% Onsite

Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM EST | Mid/Overnight Shift

Schedule: 24x7x365 operation – weekends & holidays may be required

Education: HS Diploma/GED + 2 years relevant experience OR Associate degree + 1–2 years relevant experience

What You’ll Do

NOC Training

The selected candidate will be cross-trained across three NOC functions:

Transport | DataLink | Applications

Training will cover network monitoring, ground station/data-link systems, routers, circuits, firewalls and application/message-flow monitoring.
