Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a NOC Analyst to join a 24/7 Network Operations Center in San Diego. You will monitor an extensive enterprise network, investigate alerts, and coordinate incident response as Tier 1 support.

The role requires 2–5 years in NOC/SOC, knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking, Cisco troubleshooting, log review, and ticketing workflows. Overnight shifts after training and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in NOC/SOC or network operations.
• Working knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts.
• Experience troubleshooting Cisco networking environments.
• Experience reviewing logs, alerts, and monitoring dashboards.
• Strong communication and incident coordination skills.

Job Description

We are seeking a NOC Analyst to join a 24/7 Network Operations Center responsible for monitoring and supporting a large enterprise network environment consisting of over 10,000 access points and 2,200+ network devices. This role serves as the "eyes in the sky" for network and security operations, proactively monitoring alerts, investigating issues, coordinating incident response, and providing Tier 1 network support. The ideal candidate has experience working in a NOC, SOC, or network operations environment and is comfortable troubleshooting basic Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking issues, reviewing system logs, managing tickets, and escalating incidents to engineering teams when needed.

Skills and Requirements

2-5 years of experience in a NOC, SOC, Network Operations, or Technical Support environment. Working knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts. Experience troubleshooting Cisco networking environments. Experience reviewing logs, alerts, and monitoring dashboards. Familiarity with switches, routers, VLANs, and port configuration concepts. Experience working within a ticketing system and following incidents through resolution. Strong communication and incident coordination skills. Ability to work independently on overnight shifts following training. Network+ certification or equivalent networking knowledge.
