Job summary

EMPACT-SPC, part of La Frontera Arizona, is seeking an Overnight Crisis Specialist in Tempe, AZ to provide direct crisis intervention, transportation, behavior management and referrals to individuals and families in crisis. The role may involve working alone or in a two-person team in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include direct in-home, in-office, school and community-based crisis services, comprehensive documentation, and follow-up with health care providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field preferred.
• Associates degree with two years full-time behavioral health work experience accepted.
• High School Diploma/GED with four years full-time behavioral health work experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct in-home, in-office, in school and community-based crisis services including crisis intervention and de-escalation, transportation, and referrals.
• Maintain all client records in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
• Provide face-to-face or phone follow up services to clients and coordinate with health care providers.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with related state, community behavioral health, and contracting organizations.
