Job summary

Lookout Tavern is hiring a Restaurant Shift Manager / Keyholder to oversee daily operations during shifts and ensure guest satisfaction. The role includes opening/closing, cash handling, and staff training to deliver outstanding service.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in restaurant supervision, strong leadership and communication, and flexibility for nights/weekends. Nightlife experience is highly sought after, with opportunities to lead nightlife operations if qualified.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a supervisory/managerial role in a restaurant.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Proficient in cash handling and basic inventory control.
• Experience with restaurant management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations during shifts to ensure high guest satisfaction.
• Open and close the restaurant and secure assets at day end.
• Train and motivate front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional service.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and promptly.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and maintain a clean environment.
• Assist with inventory monitoring and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with management on staff scheduling and improvements.
