Austin Bridge & Road is seeking a Safety Manager for a San Antonio, TX project to lead night and weekend safety efforts on-site. The role supports the Safety Director by implementing safety reviews, overseeing training, and ensuring an accident-free work environment on large civil contracts.

The candidate will supervise 1–2 safety professionals, develop safety plans, and coach field personnel across shifts to meet strict safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience on heavy civil projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Health or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilités

• Examine project settings from work performed and client processes to identify hazards.
• Develop and review project JHA and safety execution plans for subcontractors.
• Create and conduct safety trainings; ensure records are documented.
• Monitor safety training effectiveness and disseminate hazard information.
• Lead site safety meetings and participate in incident investigations.
