Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Sanitation, Warehouse associate to maintain a clean and safe work environment in our warehouse facilities. This role performs general janitorial tasks across dry, cooler and freezer areas, supporting health and safety standards.

The position requires the ability to operate cleaning equipment, lift up to 85 lbs, and work Sunday–Thursday with overtime as needed. Join a team committed to reliable food distribution services.

Qualifications

• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience.
• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent required.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and lift up to 85 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• Will require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.

Sunday- Thursday 5:00 PM- 1:30 AM - will have required Over time

Position Purpose:

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience

Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including but not limited to floor scrubber, floor vacuum, pressure washer, lawn mower, and snow blower

Ability to occasionally lift up to 85 lbs.

Ability to work at a fast pace while standing, walking, bending, and squatting throughout the entire shift
