Job summary

Vistar is seeking a Sanitation, Warehouse associate to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment. The role covers general janitorial tasks across dry, cooler, and freezer areas, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM and a starting pay of $19.00–$20.25 per hour (includes a $1.25 differential).

Responsibilities include cleaning, ensuring safety policies are followed, and preparing for day‑one benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 3+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pallet jack experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:
