Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Sanitation, Warehouse associate to maintain a clean and safe work environment in our warehouse facilities, including dry, cooler and freezer areas.

The role requires 6+ months in sanitation or janitorial work, a High School Diploma or GED, and a 7:00AM start with Sunday through Thursday shifts. Training on safety protocols and chemical handling is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean and safe workplace in the warehouse.
• Performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation tasks in dry, cooler and freezer areas; may assist in office areas.
• Follows health and safety policies and guidelines; reports unsafe conditions or acts.
• Operates cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Completes assigned Pure Safety training modules on time.
• Breaks or repacks cases to smaller sizes to minimize spoilage and lost inventory as needed.
• Assists with recycling of plastic and cardboard as required.

Position Purpose:

We value the safety and health of our associates! The Sanitation, Warehouse ensures the health and safety of all our associates by always maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Break / repack full cases to small cases.in the most timely and efficient manner as to reduce spoilage and lost inventory.
• Will be responsible for recycling plastic and cardboard as needed.

Required Qualifications

6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience

Sunday through Thursday

7:00AM Start Time

Compensation

$18-20/ Hour Dependent on Experience
