Job summary

Core-Mark International in Portland, Oregon is seeking a dedicated Janitor to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. You will follow company health and safety policies and complete required Pure Safety training to protect coworkers.

Shift is Monday–Friday 5:00am–1:30pm with a 30‑minute lunch. Pay is up to $20.00 DOE with competitive benefits starting Day 1, including Health & Wellness, 401(k) matching, Education Assistance, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• The Janitor performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related tasks in warehouse, including dry, cooler and freezer areas.
• May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports unsafe conditions or acts to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles cleaning chemicals per hazmat material sheets.
• Completes required Pure Safety training modules.
• May operate a pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to receptacles.
• Completes assignments timely; may work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

• May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.
• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately. May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
