Job summary

US Foods in Plainfield, IL is seeking a Sr. Manager, Warehouse to lead a safety‑driven operation focused on people, service and cost.

You will oversee warehouse managers and associates, drive performance, and ensure accurate receiving, storage and outbound loading while upholding food safety standards. The role requires at least five years of warehouse supervision, strong leadership and a working knowledge of WMS, OSHA and HACCP.

Qualifications

Minimum of five years of experience in warehouse supervision.
Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures.
Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements.
Ability to interpret financial and operational data.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control systems a plus.

Responsibilities

Achieve safety, service, and cost targets in the warehouse.
Oversee and develop Warehouse Managers through coaching and training.
Drive associate engagement and retention and uphold US Foods values.
Ensure efficient workflow through clear communication and directing workforce.
Review staffing, train hiring, and manage performance to hit productivity targets.
Identify cost reduction opportunities and optimize production flow.
