Job summary

US Foods is seeking a seasoned warehouse leader to manage night operations and drive safety, service, and cost targets in the Topeka facility. You will plan short- and mid-term department objectives, direct management, and coordinate with VP Operations to meet customer expectations.

You will develop Warehouse Managers, mentor on policy and procedures, oversee on-floor staff, and recruit talent to sustain service levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven years of experience in warehouse management.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
• Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Achieve safety, service, and cost targets in department and oversee all night warehouse operations.
• Lead with a safety mindset to ensure a safe work environment.
• Develop Warehouse Managers through coaching and policy training.
• Oversee on-floor warehouse associates and drive recruitment and engagement.
• Plan headcount to maintain service levels and monitor hiring.
• Implement technology changes to improve productivity and quality while complying with regulations.
• Identify process improvements and cost reductions with Sr. Warehouse Managers.
• Monitor inventory, production goals and safety reports to achieve zero-error accuracy.
