Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. in Houston seeks a fleet supervisor to lead driver relationships and balance home time, payroll and equipment needs.

You will collaborate with the Dedicated Logistics team to optimize loads, monitor performance, and uphold Werner’s service standards across customer accounts. Using our operating systems and satellite communications, you will coordinate with billing, safety, maintenance and vendors, ensuring a full driver board, timely attendance, and adherence to policies

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics preferred.
• 2–3 years of fleet management or transportation experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to operate a computer terminal and satellite communications system.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships to meet driver needs (home time, payroll, equipment issues).
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, and stops.
• Understand and align with customer dynamics and Werner service expectations to improve value.
• Interface with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance and external vendors.
• Work with the Dedicated Logistics Manager/Operations Manager to maintain a full driver board.
• Perform other duties as assigned and ensure timely attendance per schedule.
