Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to build and maintain strong driver relationships, ensuring home time, payroll support, and timely issue resolution across equipment and compliance.

You will partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize loads, coordinate with billing, safety, and maintenance, and lead a small team toward a full driver board while upholding Werner's service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics preferred.
• Six months to one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, proven management ability, and skill in operating a computer terminal and satellite communications system required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships through understanding and meeting driver needs across home time, payroll, utility, equipment breakdowns, logging violations, and equipment issues.
• Partner with the Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, stops, directions, and driver needs.
• Understand and adhere to customer dynamics, service expectations, goals, and initiatives related to value for the Customer and Werner.
• Interface with departments such as billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance, and external vendors.
• Work with the Dedicated Logistics Manager and/or the Operations Manager to maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Maintain timely and regular attendance per shift requirements.
