Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a logistics supervisor to build and maintain strong driver relationships and ensure driver needs are understood and met.

You will coordinate with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, stops and driver availability. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or relevant fleet/transportation experience and supervisory knowledge, with strong organizational and computer/satellite communications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred in business/admin, marketing or transportation/logistics.
• Two to three years of fleet management or transportation experience in truckload industry preferred.
• Six months to one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and demonstrated management ability required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships by understanding and meeting driver needs.
• Coordinate with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads.
• Interface with billing, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance and external vendors.
• Fill and maintain a full board of drivers with the Operations Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
