Job summary

Emerus is seeking an experienced Inpatient Registered Nurse (PCU/Step-Down/Tele RN) for the night shift at a small-format hospital. The role emphasizes assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
• 2+ years full-time RN experience in Telemetry/ICU or related healthcare positions.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; PALS preferred.
• Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and provide proficient nursing care with advanced specialty knowledge.
• Follow physician's orders in delivering nursing care.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques in patient care.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing per policies and CLIA regulations.
• Perform admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
• Assemble equipment and supplies for diagnostic or treatment procedures; assist others as needed.
• Handle care in accordance with state nursing practice standards and hospital policies.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in required company activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
