Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Night Shift Slitter Operator to run the slitting machine, ensuring rolls meet customer specs for dimensions, quantity, and print quality. You will perform rework/rewinding of defective rolls and prepare the machine for subsequent jobs, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include machine setup, reviewing job folders, basic maintenance, and supporting QA with samples.

Qualifications

• Proficient mathematical and measurement skills.
• Knowledge of metric conversions.
• Must be detail conscious, quality control and safe production oriented.

Responsibilities

• Operate slitting machine following customer specifications for dimensions, sizes, quantity and print quality.
• Perform rework/rewinding of rolls with identified defects from primary operations.
• Set up machine according to job specifications; review job folder and data; prepare for next job.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment; ensure machine operates per process specs.
• Assist in lab sample handling and support quality assurance activities.
