Job summary

Amcor Fairfield CA is seeking a Night Shift Slitter Assistant to operate the slitting machine, ensure dimensions and print quality align with customer specs, and perform rework as needed. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork with Quality and Operations, and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include setup validation, data review, machine maintenance, and sample delivery to QA. Previous experience is preferred; educational requirements include a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of math and measurement with precision.
• Familiarity with metric conversions and tolerances.
• 1–3 months related experience in a similar role preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
• Experience with production software and reading specs.
• Mechanical know-how to adjust gauges and tools.

Responsibilities

• Operates the slitting machine on night shift per customer specifications.
• Reviews job folder/data and sets up machine for each job.
• Uses hoist to hang rolls and verifies dimensions, sizes, and print quality.
• Performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting; ensures process compliance.
• Obtains samples for QA and assists with labeling and organization.
