Job summary

Tufts Medicine Melrose/Wakefield Hospital is seeking a Sleep Technologist to deliver evaluations and treatments for sleep disorders, including in-center, overnight polysomnograms and home sleep testing. You will operate advanced equipment, educate patients, and ensure high-quality data collection in a fast-paced sleep center.

The role requires a sleep technology program, BLS certification, and eligibility or credential as RPSGT, RST, or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a sleep technology program.
• RPSGT or eligible for RPSGT or RST, or Certified Polysomnographic Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Collects, analyzes, and integrates patient information to identify patient needs during testing procedures.
• Determines testing parameters in conjunction with the ordering physician and sleep center protocols.
• Reviews patient history and verifies medical orders.
• Obtains consent and verifies patient identity for the study.
• Explains procedures and orients patient for in-center or home sleep apnea testing.
• Selects appropriate equipment and calibrates for testing.
• Applies electrodes and sensors per published standards.
• Performs PAP interface fitting and desensitization as needed.
• Follows protocols to ensure data collection and artifact-free signals.
