Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Memphis is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile yards. The role requires operating tandem/tractor trailers on intrastate and interstate routes while adhering to DOT regulations and safety guidelines.

The position reports to the logistics team and involves coordinating with customers and vendors, with a 3rd shift Sunday–Thursday schedule. DOT health card and clean MVR are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 12 months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all state licensing/certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work 3rd shift schedule, Sunday–Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to hand-lift and move freight up to 90 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) and DOT-compliant inspections.
• Report safety issues and necessary repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Maintain route paperwork and dispatch readiness.
• Drive and deliver trailers per schedule; hook/unhook safely.
• Move and secure equipment and freight; unload as required.
• Record hours of service daily and log per regulations.
• Maintain clean, safe tractor and trailer areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
